Service Description

Drawing inspiration from special exhibition Altered States: The Etchings of Richard Pousette-Dart, the “Tree of Life Workshop” will explore the idea of the artist's process through a hands-on wellness workshop featuring an in-gallery sound bath and neurographic art studio activity. Step into a sacred space where gratitude becomes your compass and creation becomes your prayer. In this heart-opening Tree of Life workshop, we’ll journey into the quiet power of appreciation—and nurture it into something even more radiant. We begin by grounding ourselves in a field of gratitude, supported by a sacred sound bath featuring singing bowls and the celestial tones of Wind and Sun gongs. These healing vibrations gently open the heart and attune the spirit to the frequency of thankfulness, presence, and possibility. Through a guided meditation, Amy will invite you to soften into stillness and connect with the deep wellspring of gratitude within. You’ll plant energetic seeds—born of appreciation for what is, and aligned with your hopes for what’s to come. With your heart awakened and intentions clear, you’ll move into the intuitive practice of neurographic inspired art. Through flowing lines, soulful shapes, and vibrant watercolor, you’ll create your own Tree of Life—a visual prayer of gratitude, growth, and grace. This sacred artwork will become both a reflection of your inner journey and a tool for continuing your gratitude practice at home. You’ll leave with your Tree of Life, a specially curated art kit, and a renewed connection to the beauty of your own life—exactly as it is. No art experience is necessary—only a grateful heart and a willingness to explore your creative Spirit. Gratitude is the soil. You are the seed. Let us grow. Amy Ordonez is known for her whimsical abstract paintings which reflect the inner and outer landscape. These colorful pieces celebrate the “happy accidents” where art is created by encouraging the materials to reveal their magic in community with the artist. Amy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Eastern CT State University with a double major in Sculpture and Art History. She enjoyed being a docent at the Wadsworth Atheneum for many years. For the past five years she owned Studio 13 in East Hampton, an independent art studio offering paint and sip workshops, paint pouring and children’s art classes. In February 2024 she moved to the quiet corner of CT and now lives and works out of the historic Brigham Tavern in Coventry.
